About us

This great event started in 2023, with some friends

This bucolic river valley is the remaining tidal stream in the lower reaches of the continent, near the North Sea.

An informal, intimate and convivial version takes place twice a year from Hamme, via Dendermonde and Wichelen to Wetteren, with a limited number of participants, but frequently indeed, where competition is not tabou.

XL 2027

Starting in 2027, the Biennial XL - version will run from Temse, towards Hemiksem, heading to the Antwerp metropolitan area. World records will have to be broken there :-)

Belgian Railways

english Wetteren and Dendermonde railway stations are involved. The trains come from Brussel Zuid ( Bruxelles Midi ) or Antwerp - Mechelen

Flemish Public buses english (delete train in settings) direct bus (37) brings you from Wetteren Koningin Astrid - laan (close to arrivals) to Hamme Tweebruggenplein.(Moerzeke is a very tiny village, part of Hamme.) A short bus line 912 goes to Bloemenstraat, but the connection is not advantageous)

Starting from 40 participants we order a Bristol FLF to bring the athletes from Wetteren arrivals to the Moerzeke (Hamme) departure. Great experience. If the coach has his maximal of 64 occupants we offer budget pricing

en Roeiteam Scheldeland organiseren.

'Deze roeitocht heeft als belangrijkste doelstelling de vaarsporten op de kaart te zetten bij scholen, jeugdbewegingen en sportdiensten uit de regio. We leren deze kinderen, jongeren en studenten kennismaken met vaarsporten binnen het veilige Domein Nieuwdonk te Berlare. Onze tochten worden met ervaren roei(st)ers uitgevoerd.'

Organizers. 'The main goal of this rowing trip is to promote boating to schools, youth groups, and sports services. We introduce these children, young people, and students to boating within the safe Nieuwdonk Domain in Berlare. Our trips are led by experienced rowers.'
